Welcome to our new website

As the free Alumnae Association of Watkins and Miller Scholarship Halls, Kitchen 8 strives to link our rich heritage with an exciting present and a bright future. As our association grows and technology changes, Kitchen 8 continues to expand its offerings to its membership. To do this, we have created a new website with both public information and expanded member resources.

Visitors to the public side of the website will still have access information about our association, our board, Kitchen 8's contact information, our benefactress, or the annual Elizabeth Miller Watkins Memorial Scholarship. For the most recent alumnae and current resident information, how to get involved in Kitchen 8, current hall happenings, and to register for upcoming events please see the "News" tab. In addition, visitors may purchase the new Watkins and Miller book, register online for upcoming events, and donate to the Elizabeth Miller Watkins Memorial Scholarship fund or the Kitchen 8 Sugar Bowl fund.

Our new website will allow the association to consolidate its existing website offerings with its member signup, roster maintenance, event registration, and emailing systems. One of the most exciting features is that members will now be able to connect via private professional and social discussion forums to better facilitate our Mentoring Program. In addition, members may easily search for other Watkins and Miller Alumnae and send them messages, while maintaining everyone's privacy. The member directory works similarly to Facebook's Messenger program, allowing the e-mailing of individuals without divulging the member's email information. This private "Member Resources" section will also contain our Kitchen 8 newsletters, Watkins and Miller Scholarship Hall scrapbooks, our bylaws, and treasurer's report. To access these resources, please login in the upper right corner of the site or join Kitchen 8 today.

Each Kitchen 8 member has a private Member Profile page that allows the member to freely update their own email, contact information, hall history, and Kitchen 8 committee involvement. You may adjust privacy settings as you would like on your Personal Page. At Kitchen 8 we wish to maintain your privacy while connecting former hall residents with current residents and EMW Memorial Scholarship Recipients. Approved Kitchen 8 members are the only ones who have access to the searchable directory. The information that other members may view is first, maiden and last names, hall, first years in hall, and current city of residence. In the upper right hand corner you may select "Logout", "Change Password", or your name. To make changes to your membership information, including privacy settings, please select your name. That will allow you to view your current profile and select "Edit profile" should you wish to do so.
